Day 3 of Annual Camp for TGCE trainees

The third day of the ongoing five-day Annual Camp started with the theme “A Day with our Soldiers”. Mr. A Subramanium, Superintending Engineer, PBCC, APWD, was the chief guest on the occasion. He motivated the campers to work hard and strive towards the up-liftment of the Nation. Third day is one of the most important event in Annual Camp and was eagerly awaited by the campers to have a direct interaction with defence personnels at 108 Mountain Brigade, Brichgunj as a part of this programme. All the campers along with staff members visited 108 Mountain Brigade today.
Captain Rupak Niyogi of 108 Mountain Brigade given an overview of defence service i.e., Army, Navy and Air force with video presentation. He also explained about the opportunities and other procedure to join defence services. He laid much emphasis on the slogan “Safety honour and welfare of our country comes first always”. He also motivated the Teacher Trainees by stating them building blocks of the country. Captain Rupak exalted the campers to remember the core value of the defence personnel i.e., beyond the salary ready to die and ready to kill for the safety of others. The program was concluded with cultural tribute by our campers. Further it was followed by the visit to BMP Platoon where Subedar Abdul Khaliq along with Nayak Ravinder and Hawaldar R Rajesh Khanna, explained and demonstrated BMP 1 and BMP 2. The day long programme – ‘A Day with our Soldiers’ ended with the display of different weapons and lunch at Nariyal Bagicha, Brich Gunj.
