DBRAIT gets on with ‘VISAKA’

The Ministry of Human Resource Development  has launched Vittiya Saksharayta Abhiyan (VISAKA) – a campaign for promoting digital economy through youth (volunteers) from higher educational institutions of the country. The students of DBRAIT were made aware and trained in various modes of digital payments by the experts from SBI. The scheme envisages ensuring the institutions campus becomes completely cashless by adopting digital payment systems in all its receipts, payments and transactions. Accordingly, the POS machines were installed in the accounts section which takes care of the fees and others and also in the library for photocopy/fine/ misc. With the installation of the POS machines at DBRAIT campus, 100% cashless transactions has been achieved  and  students now pay all the fees and dues through cards, which goes a long way in saving their time as well as inculcating in them to be a part of the digital economy.
