Dharna by confederation of central govt. employees

The Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi will organize mass dharna on October 17 at All State Capitals demanding settlement of 21-Point Charter of Demands submitted to the Govt. of India. The demands are on 7th Central Pay Commission and other long pending issues of Central Government Employees, Workers and Pensioners. As per the decision taken in a recently held Central Executive Committee meeting, the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands is organising Evening Mass Dharna and a Public meeting as a part of National agitation on Tuesday , at Tiranga Park, Port Blair. A few long pending local demands of Govt. employees and workers will also be highlighted through the Dharna.
The 21-Point Charter of Demands include: (i) Enhancement of Minimum wage and fitment factor (ii) HRA at previous rates of 30%, 20% and 10% (iii) Option-1 as recommended by 7th CPC to Pensioners (iv) Scrapping of New Pension Scheme (v) Revision of Overtime Allowance and Night Duty Allowance (vi) Abolish and upgrade all LGCs to HGCs (vii) Extend all benefits of regular govt. employees to Gramin Dak Sewaks (viii) Regularise all Contract, Casual and Daily Rated employees/mazdoors (ix) Withdraw arbitrary decision of the government to enhance the benchmark for MACP/Promotion from ‘Good’ to ‘Very Good’ etc.
