Local Unemployed Youth and Local Association , Andaman and Nicobar Islands, have requested the Lt., Governor to recall their previous representation on five important issues viz application of Domicile Certificate policy and 100% reservation of islanders for all Group-B (Non- Gazetted) and Group-C posts under the A&N Administration, implementation of inner line permit system to check influx of population as instructed by the Supreme Court of India 2002. non-implementation of recently proposed policy of self-marking for filling up Group-B (Non-Gazetted ) and Group-C posts, filling up all vacancies of various posts in different departments within specific time and one-time age relaxation to the local unemployed youth due to their inability to apply in time due to inordinate delay by the administration to fill the posts. In the letter, the association said that more than a week has passed but no concrete decision has been taken and urged the administration to take necessary steps in the matter and publicize the same through the local media by Sept 16, failing which, the unemployed youth of these islands will hold a mass agitation on September  18.
