IAS trainee officers visit ANC

Eighteen IAS trainee officers of 2018 batch visited the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) as part of Naval Attachment tour. On arrival at HQ ANC, they were briefed on the strategic dimensions of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and given an overview of the operations and joint nature of the Command. In order to better understand the operational capability of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, the officer trainees visited FDN-2 and an Indian Coast Guard Ship. They were also taken for ‘Day at Sea’ onboard an Indian Navy ship on 09 Jan 19. T
The visit provided the IAS officer trainees an opportunity to appreciate the multi-faceted, unique and strategic aspects of the Command. It also helped them to get an insight into the ecological sensitivities while focusing on the developmental issues of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
