IGNOU Foundation Day on Nov 19

Port Blair
17 Nov 2017

In 1985, by an Act of Parliament, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established as a Central University, with national and international jurisdiction with a few thousand students in its initial period, now meets the educational needs of millions of people, and thus emerged as ‘People’s University’. Having completed a decade the Regional Centre of IGNOU at Port Blair, is celebrating the Foundation Day on November  19 with interactive sessions with its Study Centre functionaries, academic counselors, students and other associates to analyse the history of development of IGNOU activities at A & N Islands and provide future directions for progress.
