Indian Navy Ships open for visitors

As part of Navy week celebrations, with an aim to spread awareness about Indian Navy,  Indian Naval Ships Saryu and LCU 52 were ‘Open for Visitors’ on 7th and 8th December, 2017. More than 250 visitors including locals, tourists and students of Ummat Public School Senior Secondary School, Austinabad visited the ships. Operational demonstrations like Search and Rescue drill by Chetak Helicopter, Boarding Operations, High speed run by Gemini craft and Weapon display by the Marine Commandos (MARCOS) were showcased. The interaction with ‘Men in Whites’ exposed especially the children to ‘Ocean of Opportunities’ which Indian Navy has for them. Overall, the event was a grand success towards synergising the residents of the Blue isles with the Indian Navy.
