Induction prog. for DBRAIT freshers begins

To inculcate human values and component related to community among the engineers, AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) has brought out certain mandatory activity which are required to be conducted by all technical institutes  so that the students are given exposure which will help them to discharge their responsibility towards the country. As a part of the mandatory activities, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) is organising a week-long induction programmes from Monday for freshers
Commodore Deepak Goswami, Chief of NSRY inaugurated the induction programme which was followed with presentations on topics viz opportunities in the islands. Er. Johnson Abraham covered the topic on goal setting and way of life. Mr. Kumar Harshvardhan, Officer-in- Charge ANCON spoke on Happiness Index followed disaster preparedness & management by S.K.Vishnoi, Inspector (Master Trainer) A&N Fire Service. This week-long programme shall sensitize around 500 students on various topics such as human values, ethics, endemic species and tribal culture in Andaman, practicing yoga, meditation and stress management apart from visiting historical places like Cellular Jail. The experts from various fields (administrators, scientist and educationalist) shall be interacting with the students and share their experience for the holistic growth of the students.
The programme is expected to develop creative Interest, sportsmanship and team work, maintain harmonious relationship, ability to reassess goal and realistic future plan with a focus on fulfilling social responsibility.
