The Jan Kranti Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has demanded exclusion of a particular qualifying criteria in consultation with the Home Department, which deals with the subject of Security License in the Union Territory. In a letter to the Director of Education, Mr K.Venkat, president of the party said that a new qualification which was never been asked by any department during the tender process was incorporated in the tender for provision of manpower for security duties. “Train the Trainer T-3 Course is conducted by SSSDC in mainland to train Instructors for Security Guard Training and it is not clear as to how the qualification has been included for participating in the tender process?  In most of the cases, participating firms are either joint firms or cooperative societies barring a few proprietorship companies for whom the individual qualification does not matter. It appears that the condition has been included to benefit some particular person or mainlanders. Asking for T-3 (Train The Trainer) Certificate which is not a qualification as required by the Andaman Private Security ACT 2010 is totally illegal and hence calls for reevaluation of the whole process,” said Mr Venkat.
