Karate tourney, grading exams held

The District level Karate Tournament & Seminar & Training and Grading Exams concluded at Prem Nagar Chakraborty Martial Art Dojo, Prem Nagar here. Mr. G. Bhaskar, chief patron of AKAANI (All Karate Association A&N Islands)  inaugurated the tournament. Mr Hanumant Jain and Mr Abdul Kani awarded the medals and certificates to the winners in different categories. Sensei Anusheel Chakraborty was the referee in the tournament whereas Mr V. Thrimurthy (2nd Dan Black Belt), Shri Ashutosh Biswas (1st Dan Black Belt), Mr C.H. Hemanta Rao (1st Dan Black Belt) and Smt Sneha Jain, Shodan -Ho were the judges in the tournament and Shihan Anup Chakraborty (5th Dan Black Belt) was the supreme judge.
In his address, Mr G. Bhaskar said that since 1989 to till date this association has been continuously organizing karate tournament in various level in the Islands for the benefit of young boys and girls. He also appreciated that the 1989 state champion  Shri Ashutosh Biswas along with a larger number of students girls and boys have come to participate in this tournament.
On February 12, the seminar and training and grading examinations were also conducted wherein Ashutosh Biswas for NIDAN (2nd Dan), Mrs Sneha Jain for SHODAN (1st Dan), Shri Indrajit Mazumder for SHODAN (1st Dan) and Shri  Abhishek Halder for SHODAN (1st Dan) have appeared in the examinations respectively. Advocate Sheela Chakraborty (Black Belt) gave away the seminar and training certificates to the participants.
