Kisan Kalyan Karyashala held for farmers at Nimbutala

As a part of observance of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, Block Level Kisan Kalyan Karyashala was organized on Wednesday at Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Nimbutala, Rangat. The Up-Adhyaksha, N & M Andaman, Smti.Sapna Mondal was the chief guest on the occasion, while Smti.T.Saravana Kumari, Pradhan Gram Panchayat, Nimbutala was the guest of honour.
Information on various schemes and thrust areas of  Agriculture and allied sectors were disseminated to farmers by the Officers of Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Industries, Registrar of Cooperative societies and Scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra for doubling income of the farmers by 2022. The strategies and schemes  of Govt. of India for doubling the income of the farmers such as Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Issue of Soil Health Card, Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, Use of Neem Coated Urea, Value Addition Through Food Processing, National Agriculture Market and Allied activities like Bee- Keeping, Dairying , Fisheries etc were highlighted.
Officers shared their experiences and informed the farmers about the latest appropriate technologies and subsidy schemes available with the respective departments. Animal Health Check-up camps were also organized by the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services and 116 nos of cattle and poultry birds were checked and vaccinated.
Mr Balaram Mistry, R/o Parnashala Gram Panchayat and Mr Silvanus Xess, R/o Nilambur Gram panchayat  were honored as the first and second best progressive farmer at Block Level and they were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 4000/- respectively. Altogether, 103 farmers and 28 officials participated in the said programme.
Earlier welcoming the gathering, Mr Dilip Kumar, Assistant Director (Agri), Rangat gave a brief on the importance of Kisan Kalyan Karyashala.
