LG visits Baratang, Kadamtala & Rangat

The Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Admiral D. K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) is on a two-day visit to the Middle and North Andaman District. He is accompanied by the Senior Officers of the A&N Administration and the General Manager, NHIDCL to inspecting developmental projects and holding meeting with PRIs and HoDs. At Baratang, the Lt. Governor held a meeting with the PRI Members and other HoDs at Baratang Forest Guest House where the PRIs put forth issues related to the area. He gave them a patient hearing and asked them to submit the issues concerning their areas to the Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman. He also inspected the Baratang Jetty and visited Govt Sr. Sec. School, Oral Katcha. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor arrived at Uttara Jetty and inspected the ongoing construction work of the Bridge. He visited PHC Kadamtala. In the afternoon, the Lt. Governor held a meeting with the PRI Members in the Community Hall, Rangat.
On 29th November, 2017, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Panchayati Raj Institution Members and HoDs at 8.15 AM, followed by a meeting with Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad and others at 9 AM at APWD Guest House, Mayabunder. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor will inaugurate the newly constructed Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District Office at Lucknow, Mayabunder at 9.40 AM. He will also visit Lalaji Bay and inaugurate Cottage Huts (Forest) there at 11.30 AM. Then he will also reach Long Island and hold a meeting with the PRI Members at Long Island Forest Guest House at 1.05 PM. In the afternoon, the Lt. Governor will visit Merk Bay Beach, North Passage Island.  After completion of the visit, the Lt. Governor will depart for Port Blair in the morning of 30th November, 2017.
