A week long non residential ‘Life Skills Education Programme’ under the Scheme of National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development (NPYAD), Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports Govt. of India conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair was Concluded Yesterday on 12th February, 2018 at Govt. Secondary School Junglighat, Port Blair, in which total of 40 Participants from different School & College were Participated. Dr. H. M Siddaraju Deputy Director (Malaria) Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration was the Chief Guest. He elaborated various deficiencies found in Adolescent Age Group and its prevention, including Green leafy vegetables in diet and that Knowledge, Attitude and Skill are keys to success in life. Ms. Susma Pandey councilor spoke that there are three broad areas of life skills: thinking skills, social skills and negotiating skills, explained about immense value for adolescents. Mr. Kundan Lal, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Port Blair detailed about the seven days’ activities. Some of Participants shared their experience for a week long programme and they urged to the concern department to given an opportunity again to learn more.  Mr. Mohamed Iqbal, PET proposed the vote of thanks.
