Medical camp at N&M for sr citizens from Feb 21

The District Administration of North and Middle Andaman will hold a special Medical camp for identifying eligible disable persons for implementation of Centrally Sponsored Scheme for providing physical aids and assisted-living devices to senior citizens belonging to BPL category/economically weaker section of the society. The camp will be held at Primary Health Centre, Kadamtala for the needy population of Baratang and Kadamtala from 9 am on February 21, at Community Health Centre, Rangat from 9 am on February 22, at Dr RP Hospital, Mayabunder on February 23 from 9 am and at Community Health Centre, Diglipur from 9 am on February 24, 2017.
The Medical Camp headed by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder along with medical team will undertake basic medical tests to assess the level of requirements of hearing aids, spectacles, dentures etc, to provide the aids and assisted living devices to eligible elderly beneficiaries, depending upon their physical impairment under the Scheme.
The general public of the respective area under North & Middle Andaman have been hereby requested to take advantage of the medical camp and approach the concerned Health Centre on the stipulated date and time, a release from the Assistant Director (Admn), District Office (N&MA), Mayabunder said.
