MGGC students extend financial support to Shreya suffering from Blood Cancer

Students of Mahatma Gandhi Government College at Mayabunder have extended financial help to Shreya Das, suffering from Blood Cancer. Shreya, a pre-primary student of Billygound is presently undergoing treatment at MIOT Hospital in Chennai. The members of ABVP, North and Middle Andaman started a fund raiser for the girl child after the matter was reported to the Zilla Pramukh of ABVP, North and Middle Andaman, Mr M Vedivel. Nikhit Das, District Convenor, N&M Andaman ABVP along with ABVP MGGC Unit collected Rs 10251/- from MGGC campus after obtaining permission from the Principal.  In the presence of Gram Pradhan and Swayamsevak of RSS, the student leaders of ABVP MGGC Unit Arbaz Khan, Noor Ali, Asif, Sai Prashad, Ajeeth Tirkye visit the house of Sreya in Swadesh Nagar and presented the amount to the family.  ABVP also requested islanders to support the parents of Shreya in their fight and prayed for early recovery of the child.
EOI recently reported about the plight of Shreya’s parents, who discovered that their six year old daughter is suffering from Blood Cancer. Shreya Das, a KG-1 student of Saraswati Vidyalaya (English Medium), Billyground in Middle Andaman was diagnosed with acute blood cancer. Shreya is currently undergoing treatment at MIOT Hospital, Chennai and her father is struggling to raise money for her treatment from his paltry sources of income.
