MP lays stones for MPLAD projects in city, Beodnabad Panchayat

The Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray laid the foundation stones for various developmental works under MPLAD scheme in presence of  general public, Municipal Councillors and PRI members on Thursday. The foundation stone laying function was also attended by the Adhyaksha, ZP. South Andaman District, Chairperson, PBMC, the Pradhan, Beodnabad Gram Panchayat, PRIs Members, Municipal Ward Councillors and representative ALHW.
Foundation stones were laid for development of Burning Ghat with repair of compound wall, construction of retaining wall, CC drain, Security room, entrance gate, electrical works etc  at Junglighat, Municipal Ward  Ward No.7 of Port Blair Municipal Council at an estimated cost of Rs 49,06,449. Similarly, stone was laid for construction of Community Hall with pre-fabricated structure-behind Sree Samiyapuram Temple, under Municipal Ward No.13 of Port Blair Municipal Council with an estimated cost of Rs. 31,40,456 and will be completed within a period of six months from the date of execution and construction of Community Hall with steel truss, tin roofing, cemented floor and PCC Wall with steel grill under Beodnabad Gram Panchayat of South Andaman District with an estimated cost of Rs:33,76,695  and completed within a period of six months from the date of execution.
