MP urges Home Ministry to restrict entry of non-locals in govt. jobs

In order to restrict the entry of non-local candidates in the Government Department of this UT Administration, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, has been raising his voice since 2014 for promulgation of law of domicile through the Parliament. Besides, several letters to the administration and the Ministry, Mr. Ray has recently again requested the Home Ministry for promulgation of regulation ‘A&N Islands Public employment (Requirement to Residents) under Act 44’ or through a bill under Article 371 (After article 371K of Andhra Pradesh) for the benefit of Islanders.
Through a letter dated 30-12-2017, he has sought for the details of appointment of non-local and local candidates in the post of Group ‘B’ (NG), Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ posts of UT Administration. In response to that, the information received from the various departments of A&N Administration for the last three years is as under: -
