NGGOs AGM of Diglipur branch meets

The Annual  General Body Meeting of Diglipur Branch of  Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association held at  Subhashgram Panchayat  Hall, Diglipur on Sunday. Mr T.S. Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association inaugurated the Annual General Body. In his inaugural address, he exhorted employees to organise themselves for the settlement of their genuine demands. He further said the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers and  NGOs’ Association will step up the campaign in the coming days against the National Pension Scheme(NPS) and  regularisation of contract employees. He said  the NPS is actually a ‘No Pension Scheme’ and its returns are depend on fluctuating share markets. He also said many employees will be deprived of even MACP due to some wrong interpretation by some authorities in the Administration.
Presenting the working report of  Mr S.Arumugam, Secretary of the  Branch highlighted various problems faced by employees and workers of the Diglipur area. Mr Dasarat Mistry, Treasurer presented the finance report. The meeting honoured  Smti Safia Bibi, PGT for her contributions in education and Association. A number of resolutions were adopted in the meeting which include improvement in medical facilities and communication facilities in Diglipur area; Transparency in quarter allotment etc. The meeting elected the new committee with Mr Dipak Karmakar as Vice-President, Mr S.Arumugam as Secretary and Mr Dasarat Mistry as Treasurer. A large number of employees posted at Diglipur area attended the meeting.
