NSS activity by DBRAIT at Namunaghar

A National Service Scheme (NSS) activity was organised at Namunagar village by the NSS unit of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology on Friday. About 100 volunteers (Diploma & Degree Engg.) actively participated in various activities like cleaning of road sides, school surroundings and drains under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and collected garbage of around 0.3 tons. Awareness programme on plastic-free environment, digital transaction and tobacco-free society was held for residents of Namunaghar. Volunteers also interacted with Pradhan and other PRI members and discussed about the problem of the villagers with a view to provide low cost technological solutions. Through cultural activities they created awareness on social issues. The college Principal, other faculty members including PRI members and local residents were also present. It was coordinated by NSS Programme Officers, Mr. Rajib Bag, Dr. E. Muthukumaran and Mr. Uday Narayan, faculty member.
