NYK trainings for youth volunteers conclude

The 15-day Induction Training of National Youth Volunteers for newly deployed and  the 7-day Refresher Training for extended National Youth Volunteers organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra here concluded at Youth Hostel on Wednesday. In the valedictory function, Mr Naresh Chander Lal, Padmashree Awardee and Swatchhta Ambassador, Port Blair was the chief guest while Dr. Kandimuthu, Programme Coordinator, NSS and Associate Professor, JNRM, Port Blair was the guest of honour. On the occasion Dr. Kandimuttu appealed youth volunteers to work in a team spirit and to spread the information acquired from the training among the society especially in youths in a true spirit. The chief guest Mr Naresh Chander Lal distributed certificates among all volunteers participated from the Nehru Yuva Kendras of A & N Islands. In his speech the chief guest presented his life struggle and advised youths to work with dedication, hard work and in a true spirit to achieve the goal. He also stressed on the good feeling, good ideology and right thinking and inspired to be good citizen for nation building.  Mr Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat highlighted the 15-day Induction Training and  the 7-day Refresher Training of National Youth Volunteers. Earlier, Mr Mohd Tarique Shah, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Kamorta welcomed the chief guest as well as others. And Shri Kundan Lal, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Port Blair proposed vote of thanks.
During training period  participants were exposed to various issues such as  SWOT analysis, JOHARI Window, definition, dimensions and types of personality,etc.   Special stress was given to documentation and report writing, basic knowledge of computer applications, Web application, e-governance, online submission of reports and BHUVAN APP, youth leadership were undertaken and imparted by the resource persons from JNRM, Port Blair, various departments and agencies.
