OBM operator COC-Exam 2018

In accordance with A & N IV Rules 2016, OBM operator COC-Exam-2017 is scheduled to be conducted in the month of March 2018. All eligible candidates, who fulfil the below mentioned criteria, may apply for OBM Operator examination along with documents viz Photo ID Card (Aadhaar/ PAN Card/Driving License / Voter ID etc), High School or 10th Certificate / Mark-sheet or any other educational qualification, Certificate of proficiency as specified at serial No. iii, iv & vi of the eligibility criteria to the Chief Examiner, Port Management Board, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair on or before March 12, 2018.
The eligibility criteria for certification of OBM Operator for Power boats is a pass in 10th Std and shall be able to read and write in English and Hindi, should be not less than 18 yrs of age, should be in possession of valid Power Boat Handling (PBH) Certificate from NIWS or its equivalent as acceptable to the Administration and valid for Maximum 2 years, in possession of Life Saving Techniques (LST) Certification from NIWS or its equivalent as acceptable to the Administration, shall produce a medical certificate as to his physical fitness in Form No. 26, must have successfully undergone a capsule course comprising of the topics mentioned below at DBRAIT, Port Blair or any organisation/institute as decided by the Administration, Rules of Road, Storm signal, Navigational mark in Inland waters notified by the Administration, basics of First Aid, Life saving appliances and Fire fighting appliances and Communication. All candidates must write their operational mobile number and e-mail id (in capital) on application and eligible candidates need to pay Rs. 2000/- towards examination fee.
