Mr. Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson, PBMC visited Ward No. 11 with the ward Councilor,  Ms. Vinita Malhotra, Mr. Ganeshan, EE (Works) and other Engineering staff of PBMC.  The team inspected South Point near Muthu Mariamman Temple, where it was observed that the residents of that area and devotees face immense hardship due to lack of proper approach to reach the temple in that area with a possibility of land slides during heavy rains. As a precaution, and to protect the existing footpath it is essential to raise a retaining wall for the safety of people and public property. Thousands of devotees visit the said temple for daily poojas and other rituals. Mr. Singh directed the Engineering staff to complete the work in a war footing for the larger public interest.
The team also visited the Slaughter House at South Point, where the Chairperson noticed that it was in urgent need for repair and renovation.  Necessary directions have been issued to the Engineering staff to take up the repair work of Slaughter House immediately. Mr. Singh further directed the Engineering wing to build a Children’s Park by developing the vacant land situated near the Slaughter House with an eco-friendly hut for the benefit of residents in South Point area. He directed the Engineering Staff to carry out all the developmental activities immediately and complete it in time.
