Pending wages of Nirmala School employees disbursed

In a big relief for employees of Nirmala School here ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the management of the institution disbursed their pending wages on Thursday. As per reports, the school management credited the wages of around 40 teachers and six non-teaching staff pending for the past three months in their respective bank accounts. “We are grateful to the local media particularly The Echo of India for highlighting our problems prominently. The management took a serious note of our grievances and disbursed the pending salaries today,” said a teacher of Nirmala School.
Employees of Nirmala School in the city recently staged a protest over non-payment of wages on Wednesday. Around 40 teachers and six non-teaching staff resorted to strike in front of the school accusing the management for holding-up their salaries for the past three months.  Repeated pleas to the management to release the pending wages proved futile after which the employees staged a peaceful protest in front of the school premises.
