Police cracks vehicle theft cases, 3 held

The South Andaman Police have  cracked three cases of  theft, apprehended three persons and seized two motorcycles and one music system from their possession. On the complaint of Sartish Kumar, Junglighat, , a case vide Crime No. 307/2017 U/s 379 IPC was registered at PS Aberdeen against unknown accused persons regarding theft of music system from his vehicle Maruti Omni parked near Junglighat CCS on June 25. Another case vide crime No. 308/17 U/s 379 IPS was also registered at PS Aberdeen on the complaint of  Shri. Ameet J Arora, M/s Yugesh General Stores, Supply Lane, Aberdeen Bazaar regarding theft of his motor cycle Bajaj Pulsar from opposite of Hotel Corel Cove, Minnie Bay.
A special team of PS Aberdeen consisting of HC Vijay Shankar, HC V. Hentho, PC Abdul Rasheed, PC Ashok Kumar, PC Suresh PC Shiv Kumar and PC Jugdish Babu headed by Inspector AK Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen put strenuous efforts and succeeded in apprehending one suspect namely Jaganath Lakra (36) yrs, resident of Gupta Para who during interrogation accepted his guilt and revealed that on the intervening  night of  June 29, he along with another two juveniles had stolen the motor cycle bearing Regn. No. AN 01 / D- 9762 from Minnie Bay and the music system (Sony) from the Omni bearing Regn. No. AN01 E-0393. Another vehicle bearing Regn. No. AN01/F – 2448 owned by Shaukat Ali, resident of Ograbraj was also recovered from them. Further investigations in the cases is in progress.
The team has worked extremely hard in cracking the cases under the supervision of SDPO (SA), Mr Nishant Gupta. The general public have been  requested to pass on credible information to Police so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice and they may pass such information on 100 (PCR) or respective Police Station on 03192-232400 (PS Aberdeen), 03192-250525 (PS Pahargaon), and 03192-232232 (Chatham).
