Theft at Diaryfarm temple

Unidentified persons looted a temple at Diaryfarm here. According to the president of Sri Visveswara Temple, B Eswar Rao, both the hundies (donation boxes) were found broken on the 29th of January and money worth around Rs 40,000 along with gold ornaments have been reported to have been stolen from the temple. The police have registered a case under section 380 IPC.

Molestation bid

The Billyground Police have booked two persons on accusations of molesting a 37 year old woman of Shanti Pur in Middle Andaman. In the statement to the police, the victim said that on January 28, the accused Sushil Biswas and Sudhanna Biswas forcefully entered her house and misbehaved with her. The accused attempted to outrage the modesty of the victim. A case under section 509/34 IPC has been registered. Further investigation is underway.

PAT violation

A joint patrolling team of Police Out Post Tirur has arrested a repeat offender for violation of Andaman and Nicobar PAT regulations recently. The accused, Sanjay Sikdar alias Kaalu alias Langda, resident of Wandoor trespassed into the Jarawa reserve area at Hiren Tikrey in a dinghy without any permit. A case under section 7/8 A &N PAT regulations has been registered at PS Ograbraj.
