2 booked for molesting Junglighat woman

The Aberdeen Police have booked two persons for allegedly assault and molestation of a Junglighat woman recently. In the complaint, the victim said that she has a pending civil dispute with one Ramesh Lal. On February 8, the accused along with another person intercepted her at Junglighat and started using abusive language and later tried to outrage her modesty. The Police has registered a case under section 354/504/34 IPC.

9 held in gambling raid

The Chatham Police have arrested nine persons from a gambling den near Anarkali Graveyard recently. During a routine patrol, the police team led by Station House Officer, Sub Inspector Abdul Rehman found the accused, P Suresh,  Kumar, residents of Phoenix Bay, B Venkat, N Appa Rao, N Srinivas, D Param, D Ramanna, D Ramanna, residents of Anarkali and B Eswar Rao, resident of Phongy Chaung gambling at the location and seized Rs 4210 of stake money and Rs 850 on personal search from their possession. A case under section 5/7/A &N Gambling Regulation 1951 has been registered.

17 yr old commits suicide

A class X student committed suicide on Sunday at his residence. In the statement to the police, Aashique Dewan, Supervisor in the PBMC, resident of  Nayagaon said that his son Azad Deewan was depressed over some money owing reportedly obtained from his friends. He along with his wife after returning home at around 11 am found the door locked from inside. After forcefully opening the door, they found Azad Deewan hanging from the ceiling fan of  his bedroom. A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered at PS Aberdeen.
