Tyres stolen

The Aberdeen Police have booked two persons for stealing auto tyres from a workshop at Phoenix Bay recently. In the statement to the police, VT Jinto said that on February 19, he found four tyres of auto rickshaws stolen from his workshop near APWD Store at Phoenix Bay. He handed over the CCTV footages to the police after which the accused were identified as Siva Kumar(30) , and Pravin Kumar( 33), both residents of Phoenix Bay. A case under section 457/380/34 IPC has been registered at PS Aberdeen.

Commits suicide

A 24 year old woman of Shore Point committed suicide on February 19. In the statement to the police, Smt Rupawati, said that at around 5.30 am on February 19, she found her sister-in-law, Pushpa Lata, wife of Shyam Sunder Rao, under some stress. After bath, the informant went to bedroom of  the deceased and found the door locked from inside. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The police have  registered a case of unnatural death.

Fire mishaps

Two fire accidents have been reported from the North and Middle Andaman region on February 19. In the first accident, fire fighters doused a grass fire near Medical Colony at around 3.35 pm. Careless smoking is believed to be the reason for the fire. Fire fighters of Billyground also averted a fire at Hari Nagar at around 11.35 am. Loss worth around Rs 2000 has been reported in the accident which occurred due to careless smoking.
