Assault for liquor demand
A resident of Dairyfarm attacked his friend on the 8th of this month for not acceding to his demand for providing liquor. In the statement to the Police, the victim, A Murugan, a 45 year fisherman, resident of Junglighat, said that he and his friend, the accused, V Perumal, 49 year old, consumed alcohol at around 11 am. The accused, later demanded more liquor, which the victim denied due to shortage of money. At around 6.30 pm, Perumal attacked the victim with a knife and caused injuries in his neck and stomach. A case under section 324 IPC has been registered at PS Aberdeen. 

45 year old booked for molestation
The Diglipur Police has registered a case under section 341/506 IPC for allegedly molesting a 30 year old housewife recently. In the statement to the Police, the victim said that the accused used to threaten her as she lodged a police complaint against him. The accused, Pran Krishna Guria, 45 year old, on March 7 at around 11.20 am tried to outrage the modesty of the victim and even assaulted her. The Diglipur Police is holding further investigation into the incident.
