IMFL seized at Panipat Jn.

The Chatham Police have arrested a 42 year old resident of Delanipur and seized three bottles of 750ml IMFL from his possession on Saturday. During routine patrol, two constables of Police Station Chatham noticed the accused trying to conceal a heavy bag at around 3.55 pm. Upon search, the police found three sealed bottles of IMFL in his possession and the accused couldn’t produce documents for the purchase. He identified himself as C Sakti, resident of Delanipur and was travelling to Panipat from Chatham. A case has been registered against the accused U/s 32 Reg III of 1876 at PS Chatham.

4 more held for vending liquor without permit
Continuing its crackdown against illegal sale of liquor, the Aberdeen Police arrested four persons from different parts of the city in the last two days. All the accused identified as Laxmi Narayan (28), private worker, resident of Fish Market, Junglighat, R Sabarinathan (29), private worker, resident of Sisty Nagar, Dugnabad, R Murugesan (50), private worker, resident of Dairyfarm near PS Mill and S Satya Narayan (53), private worker, resident of Dairy Farm Near Kashmic Clinic were found selling liquor without valid permit and booked under section 32 Reg III of 1876. Altogether, seven bottles of IMFL, packaged drinking water and plastic glasses were seized from their possession.
