Two assault youth in inebriated state
An auto rickshaw driver and his friend, both in an inebriated state, allegedly assaulted a 30 year old resident of Lal Bijan, Dairyfarm on Wednesday. The victim identified as G Kesav Rao suffered a fractured leg and is presently undergoing treatment at GB Pant Hospital. The Police recorded the statement of the victim at GB Pant Hospital and is further investigating the matter.
As per the statement of the victim, a daily rated worker of APWD, along with his friend Anoj Kumar Soy and the auto driver, Durga Prasad consumed liquor at a location near CPWD Colony, Ranchi Tekrey till late night on Wednesday. A heated argument broke out between the three following which Anoj started beating the victim. The auto driver hit the victim with a piece of wood and fractured his left leg. The victim was rushed to GB Pant Hospital. In his statement, the victim demanded strict action against the accused persons.


IMFL seized
Continuing in crackdown on illegal sale of liquor, the Aberdeen Police on Wednesday arrested a resident of Nayagaon and seized around 10 bottles of 180ml IMFL from his possession. During routine patrol near Junglighat Wine Shop, three Constables noticed a person carrying a heavy bag trying to hide himself from the cops. Upon interrogation and inspection of the bag, the Police found 10 sealed bottles of 180ml IMFL. The person couldn’t produce valid documents on the spot following which IMFL bottles were seized. The person has been identified as G Kumar, aged around 35 years, private worker, resident of Nayagaon near Jaya Laxmi Store. A case has been registered against the arrested person U/s 32 Reg III of 1876 at PS Aberdeen.
