Carnic man suffers electric shocks
A native of Car Nicobar sustained serious injuries after coming in contact with a high tension power cable on Monday. The person, identified as Jolly Casper, was rushed to the nearest hospital where his condition is now reported to be stable. As per source, Jolly Casper is a cable operator by profession. He was carrying out some works when he accidentally came in contact with a high tension power cable. He fell unconscious on the ground. Local people informed the Fire Brigade about the incident and rushed him to the hospital.

Huge quantity of IMFL seized
Continuing its drive against illegal activities, the Aberdeen Police arrested a 28 year old resident of Diglipur with a  huge quantity of liquor on Monday. During routine patrol, constables V Hentho and D Shiv Kumar noticed a person trying to hide away from the police at Junglighat near Hindu Graveyard. The cops interrogated him and upon checking  seized 54 bottles of 750ml IMFL (Remo Fine Whisky), 48 bottles of 750 ml IMFL (Friends Club Deluxe Whisky), 42 bottles of 375 ml IMFL (Officers Choice Whisky) and 09 bottles of 180 ml IMFL (Officers Choice Whisky) from his possession. The accused has been identified as Sreeram Das, a private worker by profession, presently residing at Dollygunj. He failed to produce valid documents for the items and a case under section 32 Reg III of 1876 have been registered at PS Aberdeen.
