One injured in road mishap

A resident of School Line in the city suffered injuries in a road mishap recently. In a complaint to the police, the victim, Dr Satish Kumar said that at around 8.40 am on June 25 while travelling towards his residence on his scooty, motorcycle rider hit him from the rear. The victim was reportedly crossing the road in his vehicle with indicators on when the mishap occurred. He was rushed to the GB Pant Hospital by PCR with a fractured left leg. He has requested the police to take appropriate action against the accused.

Nayagaon man booked for vending liquor illegally
Continuing its crackdown on illegal activities, the Aberdeen Police on Sunday booked a resident of Nayagaon for selling liquor without valid licence. During routine patrol, cops from Police Station Aberdeen found the accused identified as Pradeep Lall, a private worker, 28 year old, serving liquor to people near a Hotel at Nayagaon. One bottle of IMFL containing around 450 ml of liquor and another containing 190 ml, packaged drinking water and plastic glasses were seized from this possession. He failed to produce valid documents and a case under section 32 Reg III of 1876 has been registered at PS Aberdeen.
