Bike hits Jeep at Machi Line
A two-wheeler rider, reportedly driving at a high speed, hit a parked four-wheeler at Machi Line last Thursday. The incident occurred at around 8.30 am when the two-wheeler rider carrying pillion lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the parked jeep. Two bikers reportedly suffered injuries in the mishap and were taken to GB Pant Hospital for treatment. In the complaint to the Aberdeen Police, one of the partners of Hotel Sea Shell claimed that the rear side of the jeep including rear lamps and indictor was damaged in the accident.

Bootleggers held
The patrolling team of Aberdeen Police arrested a resident of Nayagaon for selling liquor without valid permit on Friday. During routine patrol, Head Constable V Hentho and Constables D Shiv Kumar and Vinod Linya found the accused J Silambarasan, 29 years, a private worker, serving liquor to people at a location near GKM Hotel. Two bottles of 750 ml IMFL, disposable glasses and packaged drinking was seized from his possession. Cops from Police Station, Pahargaon, Head Constable P Babu Rao and Constables, SN Pathak, Bhaskar Rao and Vijay Ram arrested another person for committing the same offence on Friday. The accused identified as KK Jaies( 62), a  private worker, was found serving liquor to people at Beodnabad, near Primary School. Two bottles of 750 ml IMFL, one 375 ml bottle, disposable glasses and packaged drinking water were seized from his possession. Both the accused have been booked under section 32 Reg. III of 1876.
