Huge quantity of IMFL seized at Carnic
Cops of Police Station, Car Nicobar succeeded in apprehending one Mr C Karthigeshan, s/o Mr Chandran, 39 years, private workers, resident of Perka village and seized 100 bottles of 750ml IMFL bottles from his possession.
The raid was conducted by the team of PS, Car Nicobar comprising of SI Calvin, HC/382 BudhBahadur, PC/2886 Nityanand Baroi and PC/2618 Sony Kumari headed by Inspector PK Abdul Arif, Station House Office, PS Car Nicobar under the supervision of Ms Sandhya Swamy, ASP Car Nicobar. The huge quantities of recovered liquor were seized on the spot and arrest effected of the accused. Keeping strict vigil over the illegal sale of liquor/IMFL and other illegal activities  in Car Nicobar public is requested to pass on  credible information on the telephone numbers: 03193-265242, 100, 03193-232100, 8900973445, 9474228912. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.

Vending liquor in public
During routine patrol on Monday, a team from Police Station, Aberdeen arrested one person identified as S Laskhmi Narayan, 28 years, resident of Junglighat, for vending liquor to public without valid permit at Machi Basti. Upon search, the Police seized one 750 ml bottle of IMFL containing about 300 ml, one 750 ml bottle containing about 200 ml and one water bottle from his possession. The accused has been booked under section 32 of Regulation III of 1876.

Bootlegger arrested
Continuing its crackdown on illegal sale of liquor, a patrol team from PS Aberdeen on Monday arrested one M Yesu Rathnam, 45 years, private worker, resident of Mohanpura near Shivram Complex. Three 750 ml bottles of IMFL were seized from the possession of the accused, who failed to produce valid documents before the police. The accused has been booked under section 32 of Regulation III of 1876.
