Port Blair ‘Cyclothon’ on Dec 3

The Prime Minister, in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has called upon citizens, not to use petrol or diesel one day in a week. Listening to the  Prime Minister’s advice,  the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has directed all PSU Oil sectors to organise Cycle Rallies in major states for drawing mass attention and sensitising various groups of society on the need and benefits of conservation of petroleum products. The objective of this event is to encourage masses to use public transport and non- mechanised mode of transport mainly, cycling. At Port Blair the event is being organised by IOCL(MD) on Dec 3, 2017. The rally will start from Netaji Stadium at 7.30 am and cover a distance of around 5 km. The route planned is through Aberdeen Bazar, Gandhi Statue, Bengali Club and to terminate at Netaji Stadium. T- shirts, Caps, Mementoes and certificates will be presented to all participants in the rally. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Mr. Udit Prakash Rai will grace the event as the chief guest and start the rally by flagging it off.
