Pvt. bus drivers, conductors stage protest

The Private Bus Association staged a protest today at Municipal Bus Stand, Mohanpura, here to press for their demands. Bus drivers and conductors affiliated to the association demanded basic amenities like toilets, drinking water facility, rest room etc for the passengers and the workers of the association, re-scheduling of bus timings, reduction on punishment imposed by STA on the recommendations of the Traffic Police. 
The agitators also demanded police verification of STS bus drivers to be conducted twice  a year, which is currently being practiced only for the private workers. Biased action against private bus drivers and conductors was flayed by the members of the association during the protest, which received full support from the local Congress outfit.
