Ram Katha prog. underway at Junglighat

The seven-day Ram Katha programme commenced in a befitting manner on Sunday. The programme started with the traditional Kalash Yatra from Police Temple Port Blair in which more than 300 ladies took traditional Kalash from Police Temple, Aberdeen Bazaar to Junglighat Durga Puja Ground. More than 500 people waited eagerly for the Kalash yatra procession. The Ramanand Ramkatha orator, Sadhvi Pragya Bharti initiated the spiritual light in all the present devotees.The seven-day Ram Katha will be organised daily from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm till December 10. On December  10, Dr. Subramanium Swami, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha will address the gathering. All the Sanatana devotees have been requested to take part in the programme to enrich themselves with spiritual discourse and enlightment.
Earlier on December 2, devotees organised a bike rally from ITF Ground Dairyfarm, which went all the way to Chatham and then came back to Haddo to Phoenix Bay, Aberdeen Bazaar, Middle Point and ended up at Junglighat Ground Durga Puja Pandal. More than 2000 devotees including both men and women participated in the rally.
