Ray meets Health Minister, CMD of Air India

The Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray met Mr JP Nadda, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, GoI at New Delhi on Thursday. During the meeting, Mr Ray demanding posting of 35 Specialist doctors (Grade-I) in A&N Islands at District Hospitals in Mayabunder, Car Nicobar as also at CHCs in Diglipur, Rangat, Garacharma, Bambooflat, Kamorta, Little Andaman, Campbell Bay etc from CHSs cadre with lucrative package under NHM as per the decision taken by the Ministry  for betterment of medical facilities in A&N Islands in the larger interest of the islanders.
The Member of Parliament also met Mr Pradeep Singh Kharela, Chief Managing Director, Air India at New Delhi on Friday and requested him to restore Air India services between Port Blair and Car Nicobar.  He apprised about the problems being faced by the tribal people as well as others due to the lack of air connectivity in the destination. The CMD, Air India assured to look into the issue for resolution at the earliest.
