As part of its corporate campaign to spread awareness of road safety and benefits of latest advancements in the automobile sector, the local dealership of Rio Nissan Datsun organised an event to raise awareness on road safety issues and enhance driving skills in front of their office at Lamba Line on Monday. Employees of the dealership facility carried innovative banners and placards and assembled at Lamba Line to educate people on the importance of road safety and use of seat belts in cars and wearing helmets while driving two-wheelers. They also sensitized people on the need to conserve water and electricity during the campaign.
“We have conducted similar camps in the past at Delanipur, Bhatu Basti and other locations in the city and received overwhelming response from our valued customers.  Safety of our customers, their families and other road users are very important to us and the campaign has been launched with an objective to communicate safety skills through an interactive way. ‘Be safe on roads’ is the slogan for this campaign and during the prevailing monsoon season, it is an opportune time to connect, engage and educate with motorists on the importance of being careful on road.  Using seat belts, wearing helmets are basic safety measures which people often ignore and the campaign is aimed at creating awareness amongst people and bring about attitudinal change to be safe on roads and care for others at the same time.,” said an employee of Nissan here speaking to this Correspondent.
