Rough sea forecast

Under the influence of moderate to strong southwest monsoon current, strong south-westerly wind speed between 35 and 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph and rough to very rough seas are likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. The general public have been advised to take precautionary measures and contact the State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres in case of any emergency. Meanwhile, the INCOIS Observatory, Hyderabad has forecast high waves in the range of 3.5 - 4.9 meters during 5.30 pm on 10-06-2018 to 11.30 pm of 12-06-2018 along the west coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Current speeds may vary between 112 - 132 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 35 and 45kmph gusting to 55kmph and rough to very rough seas are likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. In Nicobar, high waves in the range of 3.5 - 3.9 meters are expected during 5.30 pm on 10-06-2018 to 11.30 pm of 12-06-2018 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel.
Current speeds vary between 76 - 89 cm/sec.
