Rough sea, high wind forecast

Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest Monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 kmph and generally rough seas are likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. Meanwhile, The INCOIS Observatory has forecast high waves in the range of 3.0 - 3.8 meters between 5.30 pm on July 19 to 11.30 pm of July 21 along the west coast of Andaman Islands between Ten Degree Channel and Coco Channel. Current speeds may vary between 61 - 85 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 km per hour and generally rough seas are likely along and off Andaman coast. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. In Nicobar, high waves in the range of 3.0 - 3.4 meters is also forecast during 17:30 hours on 19-07-2017 to 23:30 hours of 21-07-2017 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands between Ten Degree Channel and Great Channel. Current speeds vary between 78 - 103 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 km per hour and generally rough seas are likely along and off Nicobar coast. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. The general public  have been advised to take precautionary measures and contact  the State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres in case of any emergency.
