Scheme of assistance to disabled persons

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), Govt. of India has launched the revised scheme of assistance to disabled persons for purchase/fittings of aids and appliances (ADIP) for which agencies like societies and their branches, if any, registered separately under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, registered charitable Trusts. The  India Red Cross Societies and other autonomous bodies headed by District Collector/Chief Executive Officer/District Development Officer, National/Apex Institutes, CRCs, RCs, DDRCs, National Trust, ALIMCO functioning under Administrative control of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment/Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, National/State Handicapped Development Corporation and Section 25 Companies in the Private Sector, Local Bodies- Zilla Parishads, Municipalities, District Autonomous Development Councils and Panchayats etc,  Hospitals registered as separate entity, as recommended by State/UT/Central Govt. 8. Nehru Yuva Kendras and any other organisation as considered fit by Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of SJ & E.
Interested organisations have been requested to view details of the scheme on the website (www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in) and apply to Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), Government of India for obtaining grant.
