Short course on Leadership & Management

The Police Training School, A&N Islands organized a three days course on “Leadership and Management” recently for in-service Police personnel from the rank of Police Constable to Inspector under the overall supervision of Smt. Usha Rangnani, Principal, PTS. The main objective of the course is to upgrade the skills of Police personnel and to enhance the proficiency in their respective field.  During the training programme Mr K. Michal Raj, DANIPS, Vice Principal, PTS, Mr Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, A&NCB, Port Blair, Smt. Shanti Murgesan, In-charge One Stop Centre, Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair, Dr. Sheetal Anup, Asstt. Professor, ANCOL, Mr V.Sridharan, Guest Faculty, ANCOL, Inspector R.K. Sharma, Inspector Stalin N.S., Anti Corruption Unit, Inspector Abita Bachan, SI D.K.Seal of PTS Prothrpur delivered lectures on the topics like - objectives and Importance of leadership and management, situation analyses and assessment, principles of leadership and management in law enforcement, managing of attitudes from negativity & developing and maintaining good relations, management competencies and self management, management on ethics, communication and negotiations, leadership on problem solving & decision making, concept of change and risk management, leadership tips on time management. Altogether, 18 Police personnel of various Police Stations/Units participated in the training programme. The course was coordinated by Inspector R.K. Sharma, PTS under the supervision of Mr K. Michal Raj, Vice Principal, PTS.
