South Andaman Police arrests three for snatching

On July 11, a case vide crime no. 65/17 U/s 392/34 IPC was registered at PS Chatham on the complaint of Smti Nana Sundri (46) yrs W /o Late. A. Samuel R/o Prem Nagar, behind Kanya Asram regarding snatching of her gold chain from her neck weighing 24 gms on that day by a pillion rider of a scooty at Delanipur near AIR and escaped.
The police team of PS Chatham headed by SI Abdul Rahman SHO Chatham made sincere efforts under the supervision of Mr M.A. Naushad, SDPO/SA (i/c) which swung into action and immediately detected the case within a day by apprehending three culprits involved in the case, namely Ziaul Islam @ Tharique (30) yrs Pvt. Worker R/o Dignabad, N. Vasant Rao (26) yrs R/o Supply Line(scooty rider) and Gogi Subramaniam (18) yrs Pvt. Worker R/o Andra Pradesh and recovered the snatched property. All the accused persons are being produced before the Ld. Court  at Port Blair. Further investigation of the case continues.
The general public have been requested to share information with police so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice and they may pass such information on 100 (PCR) or respective Police Station on 03192-232400 (PS Aberdeen), 03192-250525 (PS Pahargaon), and 03192-232232 (PS Chatham).
