A&N SSWB restarts Crèche on Children’s Day

The A&N State Social Welfare Board celebrated Children’s Day by restarting the Crèche at Ograbraj which was temporarily functioning with own resources.  Dr. Poonam Arora thanked Ms. Rashmi Singh, Secretary (SW), A&N Administration for her presence and support to get back the scheme to the Social Welfare Board. She applauded Mr. Mohammed Saffique, Pradhan, Mithakhari, Mr. Abdul Gafoor, Executive Magistrate and In-charge of Dist. Control Room and PRI Members for their efforts for the  Crèche at the new premises. She lauded dedicated efforts of Ms. Soora Bibi, Crèche Worker for sustaining the crèche with her own resources for 1½ years without any Government aid and congratulated the new Mahila Mandal, Ograbraj. She assured that the Pradhan’s demand of merging the Anganwadi with the Crèche. According to her Ograbraj can set an example of this pilot project which Ministry of Women and Child Development is also encouraging. Ms. Rashmi Singh assured that all the support to the new module of Crèche-cum-Anganwadi will be taken to the Ministry. The programme was ably conducted by Ms. Madhu Lal, Board Member, Ms. Sunita Sharma, Project Coordinator and Ms. Susan Babu, Official of State Social Welfare Board.
