A group of aggrieved BSNL Broadband users met the Chief General Manager on Thursday to demand restoration of Unlimited Broadband plans. The Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray was also present during the meeting. Besides opposing the decision to withdraw Unlimited Broadband connection, the subscribers also demand adjustment of excess bill amount imposed in BSNL bills for the month of October and November this year.
The BSNL CGM, however, maintained that the authority to take any decision in the issues rests with the BSNL Corporate Office. The decision to withdraw Unlimited Broadband Plans was announced back in the year 2015. We in Port Blair are not authorised to restore the plan, he said. Unsatisfied with the response of BSNL CGM, the subscribers have now planned to take up the matter with the Chief Secretary.
