Swachhta Pakhwada by Coast Guard

A 15-day  “Swachhta Pakhwada” by Coast Guard Regional Headquarters got underway on Friday to instil the importance of cleaner and greener India in the minds of Isles people. The Indian Coast Guard has been contributing significantly towards nation building since its inception. The service has been effectively contributing not only towards clean India campaign but also has taken step towards “Swachha Sagar Abhiyan” through putting efforts towards beach clean ship in these pristine Islands. ICGS Durgabai eshmukh, ICGS C-428 and ICGS C-146 jointly conducted clean up drive in the Coast Guard premises. A total of 30 personnel participated in the event including Officers and Enrolled Personnel.
The Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N) has planned many activities in the forthcoming weeks which include Clean-ship drives, Slogan writing, Debates and Poem writing etc. as part of “Swachhta Pakhwada”.
