Theft case solved by South Andaman Police

On June 28 FIR No. 60/17 u/s 454/380 IPC was lodged at PS Chatham regarding burglary of  jewellery and cash at Haddo village, Port Blair. On July1, information was received at Police Control Room about movement of a suspect at Chidiyatapu village. Teams of police personnel from PS Pahargaon and PS Chatham led by Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO Pahargaon and SI Abdul Rahman, SHO Chatham immediately swung into action and reached Chidiyatapu.
The suspect was immediately apprehended and gold and silver ornaments alongwith cash were  recovered from the possession of accused who was identified as a juvenile in conflict with Law.
The burglary case was solved as a result of the joint efforts of staff of PCR, PS Chatham and PS Pahargaon under the supervision of MA Naushad, DySP (SA) alongwith the local population of Chidiyatapu. The South Andaman Police requests the public to assist police in passing information about anti-social elements on 100 (PCR) or respective Police Station on 03192-232400 (PS Aberdeen), 03192-250525 (PS Pahargaon), and 03192-232232 (PS Chatham).
