ToT for AYUSH Doctors, Yoga Instructors concludes

A 2 day ToT (Training of Trainers) programme for AYUSH Doctors/Yoga Instructors on ‘Module of orientation of ASHAs and ANMs on General Wellness and prevention of common ailments including Diabetes Mellitus through AYUSH systems’, jointly organized by AYUSH Wing DHS and A&N State AYUSH Society at TGCE Auditorium concluded on Friday. The programme was a part of initiative of Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India to train the ASHAs/ANMs in the selected AYUSH practices of Ayurveda, Yoga and Homeopathy systems; so that their services can be utilized to create the awareness particularly about Non Communicable diseases in the community up to the grass root level. 40 Doctors/Yoga Instructors working under various schemes of the health department benefited from the programme. They will impart further training to the ASHAs & ANMs at District, Block and PHC level in the entire UT. Dr. Navin Kumar Singh, R.O. I/c, CRU (H), CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH,; Dr. Sinimol T.P, R.O. (AYUSH), Dr. M.A. Jawed, M.O I/c (Homoeo) and Dr. Nandini, Y.I., AYUSH Hospital were the resource persons for the ToT programme.
