It was more than 18 months ago when the Municipal Councillor of Ward no. 17 promised residents in his area to construct a concrete footpath at Shiv Colony in Dollygunj. The project saw the light of the day with stone aggregates and other construction material dumped at the location, but today the construction work has been dumped putting residents in a spate of bother.
“Earlier, the path was good for pedestrians and motorists. Residents here were at comfort until the road construction work was left unfinished. Presently, construction materials dumped at the spot has become prime reason for choking of storm water drain adjacent to the path. The slush created during rains results in accidents causing injuries to motorists using the incomplete path. Whenever asked, the Municipal Councillor, Mr Dharminder Singh says, that the civic body is running short of funds because of which the project is pending completion.  The civic chief should take a strong note of the situation and issue necessary instructions to complete the work here in the interest of the residents,” said some residents of Shiv  Colony.
